By purchasing a ticket and participating in the Soweto Spring Colour Run 2026, I hereby acknowledge and agree to the following:

I understand that participation in the Soweto Spring Colour Run 2026 is entirely voluntary and that I take part in the event at my own risk. I confirm that I am physically fit and medically able to participate in the activities associated with the event.

I agree to comply with all event rules, regulations, safety requirements, and instructions issued by the event organisers, officials, marshals, staff, security personnel, volunteers, and any authorised representatives throughout the duration of the event.

I acknowledge that participation in a public sporting and recreational event may involve inherent risks, including but not limited to personal injury, illness, accidents, falls, collisions, weather-related incidents, loss of personal belongings, property damage, or other unforeseen circumstances.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, I hereby release, waive, discharge and hold harmless Soweto Theatre, its organisers, partners, sponsors, exhibitors, contractors, staff, volunteers, venue operators, service providers and affiliated entities from any and all liability, claims, demands, actions, losses, damages, costs or expenses arising directly or indirectly from my participation in the event, including any injury, loss, damage, theft, illness or death.

I accept full responsibility for my personal belongings and understand that the organisers will not be liable for any loss, theft or damage to personal property before, during or after the event.

Protection of Personal Information (POPIA) Consent

In accordance with the Protection of Personal Information Act, 4 of 2013 (POPIA), I hereby voluntarily consent to Soweto Theatre and its authorised event partners collecting, processing, storing and using my personal information for purposes related to event registration, participant management, ticketing, event communication, emergency contact purposes, safety management, marketing communications, future event notifications and any lawful purpose associated with the organisation and administration of the Soweto Spring Colour Run.

I understand that my personal information will be processed in a lawful, secure and responsible manner and will not be sold or shared with unauthorised third parties. I acknowledge that I may request access to, correction of, or deletion of my personal information in accordance with applicable South African legislation, subject to any legal or contractual obligations requiring retention of such information.

I further understand that I may opt out of marketing communications at any time by following the unsubscribe instructions provided or by contacting the organisers directly.

Photography, Video & Media Release

I grant Soweto Theatre and its authorised partners, sponsors, media representatives and service providers the unrestricted right to photograph, film, record or otherwise capture my image, likeness, voice and participation during the event.

I consent to the use, reproduction, publication, broadcast and distribution of such material in any format, including but not limited to websites, social media platforms, television broadcasts, digital marketing, promotional campaigns, print publications, advertising material and future event promotions, without compensation, royalty or further approval.

By completing my ticket purchase, I confirm that I have read, understood and voluntarily agree to the terms and conditions contained in this Participant Waiver, Indemnity, POPIA Consent and Media Release Agreement.
